GV Prakash Kumar, the famed music composer & actor, together with his wife, the singer, Saindhavi, surprised their fans on May 13, 2024. By declaring their separation after eleven years of marriage. This sudden information shocked a lot of people who had been following the couple’s relationship prior to the announcement.

GV Prakash & Saindhavi made a joint statement that was published on their social media accounts. Describing to everyone that their decision to separate was made in the interest of their “mental peace” & to keep the “respect for each other” between them. Controversy Surrounds as Sanal Kumar Releases Preview Copy of ‘Vazhakk’

Debate exists on the expected release of “Vazhakk” a Malayalam movie directed by Sanal Kumar Sasidharan & starring Tovino Thomas. The debate started due to the difference in the film’s release strategy & the resolution is brought about when Sanal Kumar chose to release a preview copy online.

Sanal Kumar thinks that Tovino Thomas, the co-producer too, is the one who is responsible for the delay of the release. Due to his worries about the commercial failure of the film. Although Sanal liked a theatrical release, Tovino was more into the OTT platform. Nevertheless, the streaming of a film was hindered due to the rights issues & Sanal’s reputation for not being the usual Hollywood filmmaker.

On May 14, Sanal posted the film’s preview on Vimeo, & he told the viewers with a caption that he gave a reason for the delay. This move triggered a debate: Some people admired Sanal’s decision to make audiences access his work while others lashed out at him for breaking copyright & stealing artist control.

Tovino Thomas denied Sanal’s allegations of holding him in custody, saying that he was prepared for release. During the Instagram live session, he spoke about the controversy along with the other co-producer.

So far, “Vazhakk” is not out yet. The online preview triggered the curiosity, but it’s not possible to tell if it will become a theatrical or the OTT version.
